A major convenience of Toledo Express
Airport has always been the ample short-term and long-term parking
available just steps from the terminal door, but Toledo Express recently
made things even easier. Toledo Express recently introduced a new
E-Ticket Express parking system to make parking a breeze. Simply swipe a
credit card to enter the lot and swipe the same card again to exit, and
the applicable fee is automatically charged to your credit card. The
entire process takes less than 15 seconds, and a receipt is provided
with the touch of a button. Cash payments are also accepted via a
tollbooth lane.
TSA Security Alert: 3-1-1 Carry-on
Liquids Rules Explained
FlyToledo.org
January 1, 2008
For several months, the Transportation Security Administration has
been enforcing the new carry-on liquids restrictions, commonly referred
to as 3-1-1. Here is a simplified explanation of what 3-1-1 means to
you:
3 Ounce Containers - Liquids, Gels, and Aerosols of 3 ounces
or less are allowed in carry-on luggage if you follow the following
steps. Many grocery and discount stores, such as Kroger and Target sell
travel-size bottles of lotions, shampoos, toothpaste, etc. Be sure to
check the labels on these items to ensure that they are under the 3
ounce limit.
1 Clear, Quart-Size Zip-Top Bag - All liquids, gels, and
aerosols of 3 ounces or less must be placed in a clear, quart-size size
zip-top bag that is easily accessible within your carry-on luggage. At
the screening checkpoint, you must remove this clear zip-top bag and
place it separately in an x-ray bin.
1 Bag Per Passenger - Only one
clear, quart-size zip-top bag per passenger will be allowed through the
screening checkpoint.
Exceptions - The only exceptions
to this rule are medically necessary liquids, such as medications, baby
formula and food, breast milk, and juice, provided that they are of
reasonable quantity and declared at the screening checkpoint.
Check It! - The 3-1-1 rule applies
to anything that is not in a solid state. This includes items such as
deodorant, pudding, jello, etc. If you are in doubt about whether or not
you can carry an item through security, place it in your checked
luggage. This speeds up the screening process, and also allows you to
carry items that do not qualify under the 3-1-1 rule. Liquids over 3
ounces ARE permitted in checked luggage.
